Job Description
Leads a team of onboarding and compliance specialists to ensure efficiency and accuracy in verifying candidates' credentials.
Oversee the credentialing process, including collecting, reviewing, and validating documents such as BLS certificates, licenses, certifications, medical records, training and work history.
Assess, evaluate, and interpret application and verification information to identify 'red flags' or areas of established non-compliance; communicate adverse, incomplete, or questionable data to appropriate parties and recommend appropriate courses of action.
Initiates and monitors background checks, reference verifications, employment history, and educational background checks for all candidates.
Ensures ongoing compliance by maintaining and tracking credential records for actively working healthcare providers, ensuring licenses, certifications, and medical records remain up to date.
Maintain confidentiality of provider information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Provides timely reminders to healthcare providers about expiring credentials and assists them in completing renewal requirements.
Collaborate with the recruitment team and upper management to guarantee that all candidates are fully credentialed and ready to start their assignments on schedule.
Maintains and analyzes team performance metrics, onboarding progress, and compliance reports.
Regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risk.
Resolve employee concerns about legal compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or any related field
3-5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, credentialing, or regulatory affairs, preferably in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws, healthcare regulations, and accreditation requirements
Experience of working with healthcare staffing, hospitals, or medical facilities is highly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
In-depth knowledge of compliance standards related to healthcare credentialing, employment eligibility, and background screening.
Ability to interpret and enforce regulations, ensuring all credentialing and employment practices align with U.S. laws.
Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in coaching and developing teams.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risks and implement compliance solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate with leadership, legal teams, recruiters, and credentialing specialists.
Experience with audit preparation, reporting, and corrective action planning to address compliance violations.
Proficiency in using credentialing systems, HRIS, and compliance tracking tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, managing multiple priorities efficiently.
