Education and Qualification:

• PRC Licensed Civil Engineer

Experience:

• With previous experience in geotechnical solutions and interpretative reports

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Develop a program of Site inspection plan for station civil works in collaboration with the resident engineers;

• Review and assure quality of the work of other staff prior to delivery to ensure it meets the requirements of DOTr and Megaworld;

• Review the detailed engineering design, type and design of all civil works such as earth work, drainage structures and others;

• Identify and instruct any necessary additional, revision, or amendments based on the contractor’s design and work plans;• Develop and propose potential solutions to meet or exceed client expectations;

• Guide the project team through the creative decision-making process and provide alternative solutions if there are changes to project parameters;

• Manage the production of project deliverables to ensure that these meet or exceed client expectations, requirements and comply with national standards and codes of practice;

• Work collaboratively with other sectors/disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design or solution and to resolve complex technical issues;

• Provide direction to technical team in field inspection activities;

• Assist Resident Engineer in design and evaluation of constructions;

• Develop design drawings and specifications for construction projects;

• Review and approve geotechnical designs developed by third-party consultants;

• Review construction design proposals and approve civil and geotechnical aspects;

• Efficient and effective supervision and management of Site geotechnical activities, inclusive of correct sampling procedures, the soil laboratory tests, the correct procedures in carrying out the pressure meter, the PS logging, etc.; and

• Review Shop Drawing submittals related to substructure.
