TRAINING AND SYSTEMS SPECIALIST
JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary Responsibilities
Training Program Development
Design and implement comprehensive training programs for new hires and ongoing employees’ development, focusing on operational procedures, customer service, and technology use.
Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, and visual aids.
Systems Implementation and Management
Oversee the implementation and training of restaurant management systems (e.g., POS systems, inventory management).
Conduct regular assessments of current systems and recommend improvements or new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Conduct Training Sessions
Facilitate hands-on training workshops for employees on systems usage, operational standards, and customer interaction.
Provide ongoing support and refresher courses to ensure employees remain proficient in systems and procedures.
Assess Training Needs
Identify training needs through performance evaluations, employee feedback, and operational assessments.
Collaborate with management to tailor training programs to address specific challenges or gaps in knowledge.
Monitor and Evaluate Effectiveness
Develop metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and system usage.
Collect feedback from trainees and management to refine training initiatives and ensure alignment with restaurant goals.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of training sessions, employee progress, and system usage statistics.
Prepare reports for management on training outcomes, system performance, and areas for improvement.
Support and Mentorship
Serve as a point of contact for employees needing assistance with systems or training-related queries.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the restaurant.
Collaboration
Work closely with various departments to align training programs with business objectives and operational needs.
Partner with external vendors for specialized training programs or system updates.

Adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in training, operations, or systems management within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Strong understanding of restaurant operations and technology systems.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Google Forms and systems analysis tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
